I’m dreaming of a thousand bubbles, golden red and silvery violet!

During the high days and holidays Venice is caught up in a dreamlike atmosphere of blushing sunsets. I admire shapes and colours recalling Carnival decorations and costumes while, at night, snowflakes descend, light as soap bubbles, glowing with the warmth of a recent Christmas. It will soon be daybreak and the violet of the night will skim the glowing sun rising up from the lagoon.
Words evoking a sensation, the inspiration that led to the creation of the new Petenà line: big bubble-like vases and bubbles bursting on plates, centre pieces, picture frames and clocks.
Petenà continues to bring simplicity and innovation to the traditional Venetian glass-decorating techniques. In “Sogno mille bolle” the rectangular motif of the previous line “Dama Bianca Dama Nera” makes way for a circle while the antique glass chip mosaic effect is ensured by varying shades of the same colour.
Opaque gold and silver decorations overlay a transparent base of red or violet glass.
The colour ways complete each other, attract each other and follow on from each other like sunset-night-sunrise plunging you deep into a dual-hued world or into the flickering chromatic borderline.
